The 23-storey office tower has been designed by architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) for developer Brockton Everlast.

The scheme obtained a recent planning amendment which reduced further the total emissions and embodied carbon, increased the public realm and shortened the construction programme by significantly simplifying and reducing the sub-structural works.

Deconstruct UK is already on site for the next phase of delivery, with the demolition works complete and piling beginning next month.

Multiplex has been selected under a PCSA, with the redevelopment scheduled to be completed to a Cat A finish in Q2 2029.

The scheme will provide 450,000 sq ft of office space with unprecedented 3.2m net ceiling heights.

The co-founders of Brockton Everlast, David Marks and Richard Selby, said: “We are pleased to be delivering The Dovetail Building in the heart of the City – a project that reflects our long-term commitment to delivering high-quality commercial spaces in London.

“Aligned with the Corporation of London’s ‘City Plan 2040’ vision, The Dovetail Building will deliver net-zero office space that positively contributes to a vibrant and sustainable future for the Square Mile.”

“We are looking forward to seeing Deconstruct commence the piling phase next month and are pleased to have now selected Multiplex as our construction partner; both important milestones for the project.”

Callum Tucket, Managing Director at Multiplex, added: “Brockton’s scheme will transform this part of the City, and our team brings extensive experience in delivering complex, City projects. We look forward to working closely with Brockton Everlast and their team to realise this ambitious vision.”

The Dovetail Building project team includes:

Multiplex – main contractor
